Watch Out!
Pigs really do fly, as seen at The Flying Pig, Houston’s newest spot for high-flying pizza and family fun. Patrons are greeted at the entrance by whirling, twirling, pink pigs suspended from the ceiling over the open-view pizza kitchen. But themed pigs aside, the food at The Flying Pig is definitely serious. High quality ingredients and consistent preparation are the kitchen's top priority. The signature gourmet pizzas – either thin or square deep dish – include the "Whole Hog" with pepperoni, sausage, Canadian bacon, and more; and the "Californian" with spinach, mushrooms, artichoke, sun-dried tomato, and feta cheese. Fresh-made pastas, like "Betsy's Favorite" - Linguini tossed with virgin olive oil, garlic, roma tomatoes, fresh basil, sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts - are big hits with diners. Our meatball sandwich baked with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses is another big winner, and the fresh salads are healthy and delicious choices.
The interior is bright and cheerful with
oversized booths, sunny windows and plenty of namesake pig
accents. Our semi-open kitchen affords diners a view of the chefs hand tossing pizza
crusts.
